Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary will holds its annual summer Pastors’ Institute on July 15–17, 2013. It will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday and conclude at noon on Wednesday. The Institute offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and is open to any pastors of the ELS or WELS. The cost will be minimal. The seminary will provide lodging on the campus of Bethany Lutheran College and Tuesday evening there will be a meal at the seminary parsonage.
This year’s program is following:
- Professor Adolph Harstad will lecture on Preaching from Pericopes in Deuteronomy, a Quintessential OT Sermon Book. He will discuss isagogical material and conduct text studies for preaching from the book of Deuteronomy. This study will show why the book can rightly be called “quintessential” for preachers.
- President Gaylin Schmeling will give a presentation on the 450th Anniversary of the Heidelberg Catechism and other important anniversaries occurring this year.
If you plan to attend the institute, please send your name, address, and phone number to seminary@blc.edu . You may also indicate whether you will need lodging for one night or two. We hope you will be able to attend this year’s summer Institute which should be interesting, instructive, edifying, and helpful for your ministry.
