The BLTS Library offers several important resources for interested pastors and laymen.
Most obviously, the Seminary Library’s physical collection in Mankato, Minnesota houses over 12,000 volumes. The Library Catalog can be searched on the Internet. This physical library includes the seminary’s rare book collection which consists of almost a thousand volumes, including a first edition of of the Book of Concord published in 1580 and the Apology to the Book of Concord published in 1584. There is also a physical essay file maintained by the student librarian at the seminary library.
In addition, the Bethany Seminary Library maintains a digital Essay File on this website, and also recommends the WLS Essay File maintained by the library of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Mequon, Wisconsin.
The Seminary Library also maintains the digital archive of the Lutheran Synod Quarterlies avaliable on this site.
